You spend all day with your kids, why is quality time important?

You are already exhausted from how much you give to your child every day. Every minute of the day you spend helping them get dressed, get fed, get off to school or have educational experiences for the day. You make sure they get washed and go to bed on time.
Everything you do all day long is for your children.
Yet, it never seems to be enough. They interrupt the things you do. You can't even go to the bathroom on your own. This is how we know that the amount of time we spend with out loved ones is not as important as the way we spend the time we have.
If you work outside the home you can know your child still gets thier needs met in the smaller amounts of time you send. As long as the time you do spend is high quality.
If you stay home with your child creating quality time can actually be even more difficult. You spend so much time on the daily care. You interact with your child all day. The amount of time you spend can make the quality of the time not so great.
The good news is quality time takes very little time.
Creating these high quality time moments in day and week, changes every other interaction you will have with your child.

Imagine if...
- Your child listened when you spoke
- there were fewer frustrations and tantrums
- your child waited when you were on the phone
- Peace and calm were the main feelings in the home
- you had more patience in the tough moments

My daughter was 2 years old and suddenly starting having pee accidents all over the house. She had been potty trained for 6 months. This was weird. And Frustrating!
